Glute Isolation Exercises

Glute isolation exercises are exercises which are focusing on working the glute muscel. These type of exercises are isolating the glute during the workout, so other muscles are almost not in use (for example the legs). This is the biggest difference compared to compound movements (like squat), which work multiple muscel groups. Often Isolation exercises are also called accessory exercises, cause they are mostly done after the more fatiguing compound movements, to emphasis the glute growth. this is why this type of exercises should be in every good glute growth program.

in the following table you see different isolation exercises which target different glute parts:

whenever you choose exercises, try to make sure to target all of your glute parts (if this is what you want, of course you can always emphasis on one part if this is your goal). Don't try to do all the exercises! instead, choose 4 - 6 Exercises you like and try to progress during your training plan.
